Ceramic coatings are designed to provide a high gloss and scratch resistant protective layer on new or like new paint surfaces. Ceramic coatings must be applied on a clean and properly prepared clear coat paint finish. It is important to remove all scratches, wax, grease, oil, and dullness before applying ceramic coatings. The ceramic coating will only improve and enhance the gloss level on a paint surface. It will not bring back the shine or hide scratches. Please contact us if you require more guidance on your ceramic coating project. It is a pretty simple procedure but any flaw on the surface will remain and the ceramic coating will cover it with a permanent protective layer.

Step-by-step:

  1. Wash your vehicle with CITRACLEAN or a non-wax car wash. Inspect and correct any paint flaws. When you apply this ceramic coating anything it covers will be there forever or until buffed out.
  2. Gently wipe across the surface in a straight line and then do it in a crisscross to insure you completely cover the surface.
  3. Do it in small sections, no larger than 18” square area, wipe with a new clean microfiber towel.
  4. Keep flipping the towel to make sure you are always using a fresh part of the towel. You don’t want to be wiping the surface with ceramic coating in the towel that is starting to cure. Have a healthy supply of quality microfibre towels for buffing.
  5. Wipe each section well until the surface looks clear and streak free.
  6. Let cure overnight in a dry area. Keep out of rain for 24 hours if possible for best curing results.
